Dr. Alison Thomas-Cottingham will be speaking at Highland Park Senior Center this coming November!
Join Discover65plus in a discussion about the importance of social relationships during older adulthood.
“We are all social beings. Friendships are important for so many reasons. Research has shown that having friends is as important to well-being as healthy eating, exercise and sufficient sleep. In this presentation, Dr. Thomas-Cottingham will address the benefits of friendship, in other words, what do friends contribute to our lives? She will also explore how friendships change as we age. She will conclude with suggestions for how to nurture existing friendships and make new ones.”
Beginning at 10:30am on Monday November 18th and is welcome to all!
